Linda Edna Cardellini's parents are businessmen Wayne David Cardellini and Lorraine (Hernan). She was born in Redwood City in California. She has Italian origins (her paternal grandfather), Irish, German, English and Scottish (her mother). Linda lived in San Francisco Bay region, California as the youngest of four siblings. She was trained at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama and started her career in the British television series Just William (2010).
